The Heroes tarveled from the Blackwall Keep to Diamond Lake and successfully escorted Marzena for a party quest reward. Along the way they encounted a pack of worm spawn zombies and dispatched them. Tyree became intimate with the worms (earning a partial requirement for a Prestige Class known as Worm Hunter).
Along the way, the Heroes risked all to help an old farmer who was being ransomed by Nerjul the Black. The Heroes located Nerjul, infiltrated his camp, dispatched him and his minions, and saved one of the hostages; earning a partial PC quest award and a reputation award (+1).
Upon arrival to Diamond Lake word spread fast as to the demise of Nerjul at the hand of the Heroes; major reputation award (+5). In all, the PCs earned significant XP from the two encounters and picked up additional XP from party and player quests and role playing and participation.
